Margate Soul Festival Ltd Ticket Terms & Conditions 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to all tickets purchased for events, festivals, shows and activities promoted or operated by Margate Soul Festival Ltd (“MSF”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By purchasing a ticket and/or attending an event, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

We recommend that you read these Terms carefully before purchasing tickets.

1. GENERAL

1.1 These Terms & Conditions should be read together with any additional terms issued by the official ticket agent, venue operator, or event partner at the point of purchase.

1.2 Event programmes, performance times, artists, attractions, venues, layouts and advertised features may be subject to change.

1.3 From time to time, MSF may offer promotional ticket prices, including but not limited to early bird, local resident, flash sale, presale or limited-time offers. Such promotions are limited in availability and may be withdrawn without notice.

1.4 Tickets purchased at discounted rates are sold subject to the same Terms & Conditions as standard tickets unless otherwise stated.

1.5 Unauthorised trading, fly-posting, distribution of promotional materials, or sale of goods using event branding without prior written consent is prohibited.

1.6 Unauthorised professional recording equipment, counterfeit merchandise, or goods using unauthorised event logos may be refused entry, confiscated where lawful, or required to be removed from site.

1.7 Do not purchase tickets from unofficial sellers, street traders or unauthorised resale platforms. Such tickets may be invalid and admission may be refused.

1.8 No unauthorised buses, coaches, trucks or commercial vehicles will be permitted on site without prior written approval.

2. TICKETS & ENTRY

2.1 A valid ticket is required for entry to all ticketed areas.

2.2 Tickets are only valid if purchased through an official ticket agent or authorised seller.

2.3 Tickets may not be resold for commercial gain, used in competitions, promotions, hospitality packages or marketing activity without prior written consent from MSF.

2.4 We reserve the right to cancel any ticket that has been resold or transferred in breach of these Terms.

2.5 Advance ticket prices apply only until the published cut-off time or date. Prices may increase thereafter, including on-the-door sales, subject to availability.

2.6 Where applicable, tickets must be exchanged for a wristband or accreditation on first entry.

2.7 Tickets must be presented in full and must not be altered, defaced, copied or tampered with.

2.8 Lost, stolen, destroyed or damaged tickets may not be replaced unless the ticket agent’s policy allows this.

2.9 The ticket holder remains responsible for their ticket until exchanged for a wristband. Thereafter, the attendee is responsible for the wristband for the duration of the event.

2.10 Wristbands must be worn securely and shown on request. Removed, damaged, tampered with or transferred wristbands are invalid.

2.11 All tickets and wristbands remain the property of MSF at all times.

3. REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS & CHANGES

3.1 Tickets are sold subject to the event taking place as advertised, but line-ups, timings, support acts, venues, site layouts and non-essential features may change.

3.2 No refund will be due for changes to individual artists, running order, support acts or event timings unless the overall event is materially altered.

3.3 If an event is cancelled, postponed, rescheduled or significantly changed, ticket holders may be entitled to a refund or exchange in accordance with applicable consumer law and the terms of the ticket agent.

3.4 Refund requests must be made through the original point of purchase.

3.5 Unless otherwise required by law, booking fees, transaction fees, delivery charges and optional extras are non-refundable and remain subject to the ticket agent’s terms.

3.6 Refund claims must usually be submitted within the time period notified by the ticket agent or event organiser.

3.7 Where only part of a multi-day event is cancelled or materially affected, refunds may be offered on a proportionate basis where appropriate.

3.8 We are not responsible for travel, accommodation, subsistence or other third-party costs unless expressly stated otherwise.

4. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL

4.1 We shall not be liable for delay, cancellation, suspension or changes caused by events outside our reasonable control.

4.2 Such events may include severe weather, flood, fire, structural failure, power outage, epidemic, pandemic, terrorism, civil disorder, industrial disputes, government action, public transport disruption, national emergency, supplier failure, utility failure or other circumstances making the event unsafe, unlawful or impracticable to stage.

4.3 Where possible, we will provide updates and any available options to ticket holders.

5. AGE POLICY

5.1 No person under the age of 17 may attend unaccompanied unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific event.

5.2 Persons aged under 17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over.

5.3 We reserve the right to require suitable proof of age for entry or bar service.

5.4 Child tickets may be required for younger attendees where specified in event listings.

5.5 Some individual events may operate a stricter 18+ policy. Where this applies, it will be clearly advertised.

6. SECURITY, SEARCHES & EVICTION

6.1 We reserve the right to refuse admission or remove any person from the event without refund where reasonably necessary for safety, security, licensing compliance or the enjoyment of others.

6.2 Entry is subject to any licence conditions, venue rules and security procedures in force at the time.

6.3 Attendees may be subject to reasonable searches of person, bags or possessions on entry, during the event or on exit.

6.4 Anyone refusing a lawful search may be denied entry or removed from site.

6.5 Illegal activity, suspected criminal behaviour or possession of prohibited items may be reported to the police or relevant authorities.

6.6 Anti-social, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, violent or dangerous behaviour may result in eviction.

6.7 Throwing objects, interfering with safety equipment, climbing structures, entering restricted areas or creating hazards may result in eviction and possible prosecution.

7. PROHIBITED ITEMS

The following items are prohibited unless expressly authorised:

7.1 Weapons or items capable of causing injury.

7.2 Illegal drugs, psychoactive substances or drug paraphernalia.

7.3 Fireworks, flares, smoke canisters, explosives or pyrotechnics.

7.4 Gas canisters, camping stoves, disposable BBQs or naked flames.

7.5 Glass bottles, large metal containers or any item presenting a safety risk.

7.6 Aerosols over permitted limits.

7.7 Laser pens, megaphones, amplified sound systems or noise-making devices.

7.8 Drones or remotely operated aircraft.

7.9 Generators (other than authorised contractor equipment).

7.10 E-scooters, hoverboards, segways or similar powered devices unless required as an approved mobility aid.

7.11 Unauthorised professional cameras, filming equipment or recording devices.

7.12 Excessive quantities of alcohol, cigarettes or other goods indicating commercial intent.

7.13 Any item reasonably considered offensive, dangerous, disruptive or unsuitable.

Any prohibited item may be confiscated, refused entry or required to be removed from site.

8. ALCOHOL, FOOD & TRADING

8.1 Alcohol may only be purchased from authorised vendors within licensed areas.

8.2 It is illegal for persons under 18 to purchase alcohol.

8.3 It is illegal for any adult to purchase alcohol on behalf of a person under 18.

8.4 Bringing alcohol into restricted or licensed areas may be prohibited.

8.5 Food and drink policies may vary by venue or event area and will be communicated where relevant.

8.6 No unauthorised trading, sampling, hawking or commercial activity may take place on site.

9. HEALTH & SAFETY

9.1 Fires are not permitted in restricted or ticketed event areas.

9.2 Burning waste, plastics, furniture, tents or other materials is prohibited.

9.3 Smoking and vaping are prohibited in enclosed spaces and anywhere required by law or venue policy.

9.4 Exposure to loud music may damage hearing. Hearing protection is recommended.

9.5 Strobe lighting, haze, lasers, pyrotechnics, smoke effects or other special effects may be used during performances.

9.6 Please follow all instructions issued by event staff, security personnel, stewards or emergency services.

9.7 In an emergency, attendees must follow evacuation or safety procedures immediately.

10. FILMING, PHOTOGRAPHY & DATA

10.1 CCTV, body-worn cameras, photography and filming may be in operation for safety, security, crime prevention, promotional, documentary or broadcast purposes.

10.2 By attending a public event, you acknowledge that your image or likeness may be captured incidentally as part of crowd footage or event coverage.

10.3 Where required by law, personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.

10.4 Unauthorised commercial filming, livestreaming or recording of performances may be prohibited.

11. ACCESSIBILITY & WELFARE

11.1 We are committed to making our events as accessible and inclusive as reasonably possible.

11.2 Accessibility facilities may vary by site or venue.

11.3 Customers requiring access assistance, companion arrangements or specific support should contact us in advance wherever possible.

11.4 We operate a zero-tolerance approach to harassment, discrimination and hate behaviour.

12. PERSONAL PROPERTY & LIABILITY

12.1 Attendees bring personal property to the event at their own risk.

12.2 We do not accept responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property unless caused by our negligence.

12.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

12.4 Our liability for any other loss shall be limited to the face value of the ticket purchased, except where the law provides otherwise.

13. HOUSEKEEPING & ENVIRONMENT

13.1 Please use bins, recycling facilities and waste points provided.

13.2 Please respect local residents, neighbouring businesses and public spaces when arriving, attending and leaving.

13.3 Animals are not permitted unless they are registered assistance dogs or otherwise authorised.

14. INFORMATION & CONTACT

15. GENERAL LEGAL

15.1 If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.

15.2 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

15.3 Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
